14th Amendment Becomes Turning Point In U.S. History
Why?
The Fourteenth Amendment is a turning point in United States History because it grants everyone equal rights and citizenship; the people in the United States were able to use those rights to file complaints and punish those states that refuse to abide to those terms.
How?
With the fourteenth amendment, any citizen in any state of the United States will get equal rights as long as anyone else, no matter sex, religion, or whatever the reason may be. With the Fourteenth Amendment being in place it eliminates segregation, racism, and discrimination to a whole different extent. If the Fourteenth Fmendment was to have never occured, everyone and anyone could come across these things without much problems due to the unfortunate things that occur in our current society today. Any part of the United States you would be able to go and it would be able to happen. The Fourteenth Amendment prevents it from happening.
